Warminster
Warminster has developed from an old market and garrison town into a modern location, which is popular as a base for exploring the local area.
The town centre is a short distance from the open countryside; in particular it is close to the valley of the River Wylye. The open spaces and areas of outstanding natural beauty provide fantastic amenities for walkers, cyclists and horse riders alike.
Aside from the historic town centre and beautiful countryside Warminster is also well known for sightings of UFO's. Indeed it is claimed by at least one author that over 5,000 UFO's have been witnessed in the area.
