Chippenham
Chippenham is a beautiful market town situated midway between Bath and Swindon. Its impressive town centre and key rail links make it an ideal location for living, working and visiting.
The combination of historical architectural buildings, modern shopping centres and historic villages culminates in Chippenham being an attractive tourist location. It also provides good accessible links to the southern Cotswolds.
Thanks to its position on the crook of the River Avon, Chippenham has a peaceful and relaxing backdrop with ample walking and cycling routes. Accessed from the station, the 28 mile long North Wiltshire Rivers Route is part of National Cycle Route 4, connecting Melksham, Lacock, Chippenham, Calne and Avebury, along traffic free paths, minor roads and town centre streets. In Chippenham it generally follows the River Avon, crossing it in 4 places and includes a spectacular timber bridge over the A4 at Black Dog Hill, which is one of 8 Millennium Bridges in Britain.
Chippenham Vision is an exciting initiative with information, projects and ideas for Chippenham's future.
